WHAT TO EXPECT

First Time Visit

Our congregation lovingly welcomes you and your family to come worship with us in the near future. Upon arriving you may sit anywhere in the sanctuary you so desire. Our Care Team will welcome you and gladly answer your questions throughout your visit. We understand that people have genuine needs and hurts; it is our desire to help them through the issues of life by caring for others in tangible ways. We recognize that the greatest thing we can offer others is to help them discover Christ by communicating God’s love and forgiveness to them. This is the heartbeat of our church! Our enthusiastic worship services are Christ-honoring. They include congregational hymns, adult and youth choir singing, and inspirational selections from various soloists. The pastor will preach Bible messages with unction and excitement intended to evangelize and edify. Families worship and hear God’s Word together. Our youth and children remain in the sanctuary during worship services on Sunday mornings; although we offer a children's church Sunday and Wednesday nights. Please join us this Sunday. We are confident you will leave joyfully saying, “Solway is a friendly church with a Bible message.”
What About Comfort and Convenience?
As a visitor of Solway Baptist Church we look at you as our honored guest. Upon arriving you will find convenient visitor parking along with handicapped parking for those in need. You should immediately receive a warm welcome from members of our church and you are welcome to sit anywhere you desire.

What About Giving?
As a visitor we do not expect you to give anything; we want our services to be a gift to you and your family.

What Should I Wear?
We do not have a specific dress code, although you will find men in leadership positions and church workers wear the traditional "Sunday" attire which might include: coat and tie for the men and dresses or skirts for the ladies; but you will find we have many that wear more casual, yet modest attire.

What Style of Service Should I Expect?
Our services are filled with lively traditional singing from the church hymnal as well as special singing from individuals within the church. It is not an uncommon thing for individuals to "rejoice" during the song service. Our Pastor will then preach a message from the bible with both passion and unction with the motive to edify those that are listening as well as speak truth to the hearts of those that may need help or are in need of a Savior.

Is the Pastor Friendly?
Our Pastor makes it a priority to show his love and appreciation for all those that attend our services. He feels that everyone should feel welcomed to be at church. If for some reason you are not greeted by Pastor Logan before the service begins, you will be greeted by him, along with his wife Amanda upon exiting the building after each service.

What About My Children?
Our Sunday School program offers classes that cater to all age groups. We also offer a special children's church during our Sunday Night Services as well as Wednesday Nights. We also have a nursery for those with young children, but your children are always welcome to stay with you in the auditorium.
