Jesus desires a real, personal relationship with us. His love for us is so strong that He sacrificed His life to make this relationship possible! Why was this necessary?
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
JESUS DIED SO YOU CAN LIVE
According to the Bible, we were born with a problem called sin. We have violated God’s Law and justice demands that we be separated from God for eternity. Jesus came to earth so that He could sacrifice Himself on our behalf and experience the death that we deserve. He loved us so much that He died on the cross, was buried, and rose again, so we can live!
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:22-23)
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." (2 Corinthians 5:21)
“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;” (Ephesians 2:1)
HAVE YOU PUT YOUR TRUST IN JESUS? When you simply believe by faith and accept through repentance this incredible free gift, you can know for sure that you have a relationship with God and eternity in Heaven after you die. Here is how to accept this gift. The Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” That is a promise directly from God that if you will pray to Him, confess that you are a sinner, ask Him to forgive your sins, and accept Him as your Savior; He promises to save you and give you the free gift of eternal life.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed." (Romans 10:9-11)
